Service Co-Ordinator

Altegra Integrated Solutions has grown to become one of the UK's leading independently owned material handling equipment service providers, and provides facilities management, training and hire to its customers with over 100 employees and 2 sites located across the UK.

About the Role

The position is a fast-paced role that involves leading a team of site and field-based engineers for our most high profile customer. The role will involve arranging the repairs of equipment, liaising with customer site manager, managing the engineers workloads and working with the site lead engineers to ensure all equipment is maintained on time and to a high standard. 

The ideal candidate will have experience in working in a busy service office environment, ideally within the MHE industry and enjoy the challenges this brings. Attention to detail and a passion for giving our customer an excellent level of customer service and an ability to overcome day to day challenges are crucial for this role. 

Working as a Service Co-Ordinator you will work well as a member of the Aftersales Team and there will also be opportunities to visit customer sites, in various locations around the UK and attend meetings alongside the National Account Manager when required.

Responsibilities

  • Leading a team of Field Based Engineers and Site Engineering Team Leaders.
  • Liaising with other members of the Aftersales Team to Co-Ordinate Engineers.
  • Liaising with the customer site managers to arrange engineer attendance to breakdowns, maintenance and servicing.
  • Placing and processing orders with suppliers and other dealers within the network.
  • Work collaboratively with all other department in the business.
  • Processing engineers jobs in preparation for invoicing.
  • Producing quotations for repairs and further work required.
  • Processing warranty claims.
  • Compiling reports.
  • Assisting with answering occasional out of hours calls from the customer on a rota basis.
  • Undertaking any additional tasks to meet the needs of the business or the customer.

Qualifications and experience

  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • A desire and ability to deliver an excellent level of service.
  • Experience of working within a fast paced, reactive, customer service role.
  • Excellent communication skills including a confident, friendly and professional telephone manner.
  • Ability to work off own initiative.
  • Ability to work well within a team, with a flexible approach to workload.

  • Prioritisation skills.  
  • Able to work well under pressure and to deadlines.
  • Have exceptional organisational skills.
  • Experience with Protean software desirable, but not essential as training will be provided
