About the Role
The role will be dealing with both external customers, and internal departments.
Externally you will support growing our short-term hire business by contacting both trade and end user customers. Also deal with inbound short-term hire enquires, matching those up with equipment from our own rental fleet or sourcing equipment from other suppliers where needed. Also dealing with customer enquiries for our sales department commonly with regards to managing their delivery dates, dealing with finance companies and general customer queries.
Internally you will liaise with our Somerset operation to ensure the hire and transport requirements are dealt with efficiently. You will support our field-based sales team with regards to enquiries over stock and their deals. You will be a part of the process for managing our asset and stock register in regard to tracking equipment, ensuring it is catalogued fully and movements.
Responsibilities
On a day-to-day basis you will:
- Telephone and market our short term hire fleet to increase sales.
- Deal with short term hire and transport enquires.
- Liaising with our Senior Sales and Key Account Administrator based in Somerset.
- Support the Midlands based Sales Team when required.
- Partake in the “Orders in Hand” meeting to ensure all departments are working in unison.
- Raising Purchase Orders.
- Liaising with Finance houses for settlements and new deals.
- General administration, filing, scanning data input and booking hotels etc.
- Any other duties deemed necessary by your line manager.
- Assist Asset Manager on stock control.
- Assist with update of the internal systems.
Candidate Requirements
- Highly organised.
- Excellent levels of communication and customer service skills.
- Good levels of experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams.
- Ability to work on own initiative and have good time management.
- Previous exposure to processing sales that require financing a distinct advantage but not essential.
- Good attention to detail.
