Business Manager - Trade Windows

Altegra Integrated Solutions has grown to become one of the UK's leading independently owned material handling equipment service providers, and provides facilities management, training and hire to its customers with over 100 employees and 2 sites located across the UK.

PURPOSE AND SCOPE

 

The Trade Window New Business Manager will have a defined territory, looking for new trade business accounts. He or she will be required to attend meetings at our Lopen Business Centre and periodically, report on their monthly activity. The role will drive new business opportunities through installers, window companies, builders, trade counters and regional house builders. The role will require a high level of detail to support customers and the Customer Services team. Working on your own initiative with minimum supervision, you will be expected to build a solid customer base and manage all aspect of the sales process.   

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

On a day-to-day basis you will:

  • Have a technical background, ideally from the Construction or Fenestration sector.
  • Be able to identify sales opportunities and develop internally generated company leads.
  • Have good administration skills, attention to detail is crucial.
  • Be IT literate, able to use a CRM, word, power point & excel.
  • Be an effective planner and time manager.
  • An effective communicator.
  • Be able to work and perform against company sales and profit targets.
  • Have good presentation skills and be a strong communicator.
  • Prepared to work hard to achieve results.
  • Must be a team player with energy.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE

Qualifications and experience

  • Full driving licence  

 

Knowledge and technical skills

  • Previous window & door sales experience essential.
  • Experience from a manufacturing, installation, or component window & door background
  • Dealing with installers or trade counter sales
  • Knowledge of a CRM system would be useful.
  • An understanding of the construction or Fenestration industry.
  • An understanding of Window fabrication and routes to market essential
