PURPOSE AND SCOPE
The Field Service Engineer (FSE) will be responsible for meeting the daily service maintenance and repair needs of the customer’s and Altegra Owned equipment. Establish and maintain proper business relationships with customers and peers as well as performing necessary administrative duties as required and other duties as assigned.
DUTES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform repairs and maintenance using correct tools and equipment, following approved techniques.
  • Ability to use standard computer applications, internet, and manufacturers service portals
  • Operate and test vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes
  • Familiar with manufacturers products
  • Perform diagnostics and repairs on forklift trucks and other Machinery in a workshop and/or field environment.
  • Complete all reports and administration required in a timely manner and to a high quality.
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations.
  • Complete all training programmes to further develop skills and knowledge in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a clean work environment, ensures correct use of tools and vehicles at all times.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE
Qualifications and experience
  • Experience performing service repairs in the forklift industry
  • Forklift driving licence.
  • Thorough exam Certified by CFTS.
  • Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
Knowledge and technical skills
  • Previous experience of working in an engineering capacity.
  • Previous experience of working with Vna’s
  • Previous experience of working with Order Pickers.
  • Previous electrical experience desirable.
Other requirements
  • Full driving Licence
  • Good It Skills
  • Good customer service skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Ability to work extended hours and weekends if required
