Service Controller

The Dunstall Holdings Group contains two business streams which are involved in agricultural and industrial applications. The Group has 7 different locations in the UK and with a turnover of over £120m employs over 240 people.

Altegra Integrated solutions (previously Lift West and Amvar) has grown to become one of the UK's leading independently owned forklift truck and material handling equipment service providers, and provides storage & workplace solutions, facilities management, training, hire and servicing to its customers with 2 sites located across the UK.

PURPOSE AND SCOPE

 

The service controller position is a fast-paced role that involves leading a team of field-based engineers. The role will involve arranging the repairs of equipment, taking, and dealing with customer calls, managing service schedules and ordering service parts. The ideal candidate will have experience in working in a busy service environment, ideally within the MHE industry

Working as a service controller you will be keen to promote all areas of the business profile, you will actively seek out new customers to promote all areas of the business.

 

 

 

DUTES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Leading a team of field-based engineers.
  • Liaising with our Somerset business centre for service control.
  • Working alongside other Departments to ensure the maximum efficiency.
  • Booking in engineers to attend customer sites, liaising with customers in a professional manner.
  • Processing orders with suppliers and ensuring these are received by required deadlines.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments in the business.
  • Following up on quotations.
  • Undertake any additional tasks as reasonably required.
  • Invoicing chargeable work as required.
  • Compiling Weekly reports.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE

Qualifications and experience

  • Microsoft Office suite
  • Protean Fleet management systems
  • Customer service

Knowledge and technical skills

  • Experience of working within a fast paced, customer service role.
  • Excellent communication skills including a confident and pleasant telephone manner.
  • Ability to make decision off own initiative.
  • A team player, with a flexible approach to workload.
  • Prioritisation skills.
  • Well developed IT skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Able to work well under pressure to solve problems.
  • Have exceptional organisational skills.
  • Experience with Protean software desirable but not essential as training will be provided.
